Philosophy
Faith offers athletics as a way for the students to develop physically and to use their gifts outside of the classroom. Faith offers interscholastic team sports beginning in the fifth grade. Teamwork, individual responsibility, and positive competition are all part of the athletic program to God’s glory. Below are several of the key goals.
  1. To lead young Christian athletes to recognize their physical abilities are gifts from God to be used in his service.
  2. To equip Christian athletes with the skills and knowledge of various sports so that they may use them in high school and beyond.
  3. To give Christian children the opportunity to compete in team sports.
  4. To promote Christian sportsmanship among teammates, coaches, and fans.
Faith is a member of the Lake Lutheran Athletic Conference comprised of 10 Lutheran Elementary Schools who are members of the Shoreland Lutheran High School Federation. Parent volunteers are a vital part in helping the program to be successful by serving as coaches, score keepers, and hall monitors.
